Website privacy
Updated October 10, 2026
SearchSkip is operated by Pixel & Bracket LLC. This notice explains how the SearchSkip website handles your information and the privacy choices available to you. It also covers our preview site.
Your searches
Search URLs are built in your browser. The words you type and the full search URLs are not sent to a SearchSkip server or recorded in our website analytics. We count search actions by provider name, as explained below. When you search, your browser sends the query directly to the selected search provider, whose own privacy policy applies.
The website does not save a search history or an engine preference. The Search button always opens Google Web without the AI Overview; individual dropdown links open the named provider. Your browser and the search provider may keep their own history.
Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits and improve the website. It measures page visits and loading performance, with summaries such as country, browser, device type, and referring website. It does not use cookies, identify individual visitors, or track people across websites.
We also use our own counters, hosted on Cloudflare, to understand which parts of the website are used. They count Search button/Enter submissions, clicks on search-provider links by provider name, and clicks on the ConvertSave, Pixel & Bracket, and Spencer Knows links by a fixed destination label. Typing alone is not counted.
These counters store only daily totals by action and destination label. They do not store search terms, full destination URLs, IP addresses, browser details, visitor identifiers, or individual event histories. They do not use tracking cookies or fingerprinting, and we do not combine the totals with visitor profiles or data from other websites. Counts describe actions, not unique people or confirmed visits to another site.
Both forms of analytics honor the choice below and are skipped on this privacy page, other non-homepage pages, and visits with URL parameters or fragments. Cloudflare Web Analytics makes data available for up to six months. Our counter totals are automatically removed from the active database after approximately 180 days; Cloudflare may retain recent database recovery copies under its service retention settings.
Your analytics choice
JavaScript is required for website analytics and this setting. If JavaScript is off, website analytics is off too.
Turning analytics off saves only that choice in this browser’s local storage. It is not a tracking identifier. The choice stops future counter requests and applies to page analytics on future page loads, including reloaded open tabs. It does not remove totals already counted. Clearing site data resets it. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Your choice is separate for each browser and website address.
Hosting and cookies
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Delivering a page involves processing technical information such as your IP address, the requested URL, and browser request headers. Our analytics choice does not disable this necessary hosting and security processing. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
SearchSkip sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We do not save search text or an engine preference in your browser. Provider names appear only in the aggregate counters described above. The only persistent browser setting we save is an analytics opt-out when you request it.
